Meta-CVS is a version control system implemented over CVS. It provides interesting and useful semantics that are not found in CVS.
This is the new Meta-CVS web page to which the content from the old one will slowly migrate; the old one is found at http://users.footprints.net/~kaz/mcvs.html
The Meta-CVS sources are versioned with Meta-CVS, of course. Here is a replica of the CVS repository which you can view in its raw form, since viewcvs has has no special support for interpreting Meta-CVS repositories.
The program is packaged as a .tar.gz
file. To build, you unpack
it, run configure (perhaps from a separate build directory) and make
install
.
The result is an executable called mcvs
.
